Preşedintele american Donald Trump a anunțat într-o postare pe rețeaua Truth Social că a fost convenită o încetare a focului între Israel şi Iran. Trump a spus că acest armistiţiu „complet şi total” între Israel şi Iran „va pune capăt oficial războiului de 12 zile” dintre cele două țări. Marți dimineață, presa de stat iraniană a anunţat că o încetare a focului a fost „impusă inamicului” după răspunsul militar al ţării la „agresiunea SUA”. Cu toate acestea, armata israeliană a emis mai multe alarme antiaeriene, cerând populației să se adăpostească de rachetele iraniene. Tot marți dimineață, Israelul a emis un comunicat în care declară că a acceptat propunerea Casei Albe privind un „armistiţiu bilateral” cu Iranul, pentru ca apoi să revină și să anunțe că va „răspunde cu forță” la ultimele bombardamente ale Iranului.
